Raphiola

16.2 h, Bay (EeAa)

Here is a daughter of very successfull Rio Grande! She brings to our little herd some very potent jumping lines. Her sire is very well known in North America being one of the most successfull stallion of the last few decades with numerous USDF Sire of the Year awards. Her dam line is also jumping bred with the very successfull Grand Prix jumper Golden Miller by the super sire Gotthard- a must in a Hanoverian jumping pedigree! The famous G line bringing jump and rideability. We are very happy to have acquired this fine mare.
SHe is proving to be a exceptional mother and looking at the 2011 colt we find that she outproduces herself. We can't wait to see what else she has in store for us in the years to come!

2011

Raphiola foaled late in the season in 2011 and was left open to be bred in the spring of 2012. We have some exciting plans for her this year and we will post any updates here once she is confirmed in foal.

2011

Raphiola delivered a chesnut colt by the sensational jumping stallion and sire Incolor (Indoctro X Argentinus) at the end of July 2011. This colt is exceptional in many ways: perfect conformation, georgeous round canter, extremely bold and brave temperament, friendly and learning quickly. He's got good size, is developing quite well and keeping his lovely topline. Difficult to ask for anything else! Everyone involved with this colt is thrilled!

Prior to 2011

Prior to 2011 Raphiola delivered three foals for her previous owners.
She was previously bred to El Bundy in 2004-Produced a colt registered as Ebay but showing as Iron Mike-He is competing in the states at 1.30 meters under the saddle of Sergio Campos and placed 8th in the 2010 $15k Midwest jumper championship for 6 yrs olds.

In 2005 she had a filly by Coleur Rubin- Simply The Best (pictured at right)
Currently doing very well on the show circuit: In the Young Jumper Championship (YJC) Five Year Old division, Barrios won the first class with his horse Simply the Best, a Oldenburg mare by Couleur Rubin. They went on to place first and second during the week. Barrios has been very pleased with her performances this year. He pointed out, “She did 10 weeks at WEF and was clear in every class. I think she's going to be a superstar. She's fast, careful, nice to ride, and is very smart.”-jenniferwoodmedia.com

And she's done it again in 2011:
"Canadian-bred Simply the Best continued her winning ways from 2010 by taking top honors in the 6YO YJC Qualifier in an 8-horse jump-off. Simply the Best was piloted to the top of the 2010 YJC standings by Pablo Barrios, and seems to have lost none of her edge since last season."- from the young jumpers.com website.

In 2010 Raphiola had a colt by Cardento called Capitol Riot.
